WORKSHOP SNAPSHOT

Join this exclusive workshop for an unforgettable photography experience! Focus on capturing stunning wild Wood Ducks in their natural habitat, with opportunities for behavior shots and portraits of both males and females. Using a custom blind and expert techniques, we’ll help you photograph these beautiful, elusive birds up close.

In the afternoon, you may have chances to shoot Belted Kingfishers, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Snow Geese, and more, depending on the season and weather. Dates:

Session 1: Friday, March 13-Sunday, March 15, 2026. (This session is full) Meet Joe on Friday, March 13 in the afternoon in the hotel lobby. The adventure will conclude on Sunday, March 15 following the morning session.

Session 2: Friday, March 20-Sunday, March 22, 2026. Meet Joe on Friday, March 20 in the afternoon in the hotel lobby. The adventure will conclude on Sunday, March 22 following the morning session.

Why Travel with Us: The team at Wild Shutter Adventures prides themselves on providing customized, small group, with in field photography and camera instruction. Joe has scouted the locations, researched the weather and sun to provide photographers with the highest possibility of capturing the shots they desire.

Cost: $1,400

Booking and Refund Policy:A $750 non-refundable deposit is required. The balance is due 60 days before the date of the workshop and is then non-refundable. Deposits can be made via checks payable to Joe Subolefsky or PayPal/Credit Card (+3%).

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:

This exclusive workshop will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Wood Ducks and wetland wildlife.

In the mornings, we’ll focus on capturing the beauty of the vibrant, iridescent Wood Ducks, with plenty of chances to photograph their behaviors and interactions, especially around their nesting boxes. These stunning, skittish birds are a challenge to photograph, but with our custom-designed blind and expert techniques, we’ll help you get that perfect shot!

You may also have opportunities to photograph other wetland residents like Belted Kingfishers, Osprey, Snow Geese, Bald Eagles, and various duck species, depending on the season, migration patterns, and weather. The marsh is always buzzing with life, and you’ll be in prime position to capture it all!

With years of experience at this location, we’ve mastered the terrain, weather, and wildlife habits, so you can focus on getting breathtaking shots. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced photographer, this workshop offers a unique chance to hone your skills and capture stunning wildlife in their natural habitat. Included: Photographic instruction, two morning shoots at the Wood Duck blind, two afternoon shoots at a destination to be determined by the weather, migration reports, transportation from the hotel to the marsh and various other shooting locations.
