ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
The Winter Waterfowl Workshop consists of seven sessions dedicated to photographing a variety of winter duck species, including American Wigeon, Canvasbacks, Redheads, and both Greater and Lesser Scaup, with the possibility of encountering bonus species such as swans, Snow Geese, and various owl species. Drawing on years of experience at this exceptional location, I will guide you to capture intimate, eye-level shots of diving waterfowl, a rare opportunity for photographers typically limited to distant views.
Understanding key factors such as sun, wind, tide, species behavior, and terrain is crucial for achieving stunning imagery. This workshop offers a unique chance to refine your bird-in-flight photography skills while shooting alongside an internationally recognized, award-winning photographer. With personalized instruction on camera and lens settings, you’ll gain hands-on experience to master the art of capturing dynamic in-flight shots. Limited to just four participants, the workshop ensures ample one-on-one time to address individual questions and challenges in the field.
The primary focus will be on diving ducks, with a large population of birds often present, offering excellent opportunities to capture in-flight action, behavioral interactions, and striking portraits.
